Hi Travelers,

Perhaps this event is the biggest annual celebration of arts and culture in Bali.  The Annual Bali Arts Festival 2017 features various artworks and cultural achievements of the local artists from all over Bali island.  Every year the event attracts local  and international visitors to the Taman Werdhi Budaya Arts Centre in Denpasar Bali.   In the Arts Center  Taman Budaya is the main location where most of the daily exhibitions and art performances will be held for a month.

 Some events are held in a 6000-seat amphitheater, a venue that allows you to enjoy the spectacular colossal choreography of traditional Balinese dance, the story based on the Classical Ramahaya and Mahabaratha, and other  ancient folklore stories.

Also, You don’t want to miss the opening parade on Saturday June 10, 2017 in front of the Bajra Sandhi monument in Denpasar.   This is the month-long festival offers you the best showcase of Balinese and Indonesian arts and culture in the entire year. 


This year, the festival’s themed is “Ulun Danu,” meaning preserving water as the source of life. 
“The Gianyar regency will present their  surprise presentation: a reconstruction of two rare and endangered traditions, (Gong Saron and Angklung Ende),” according to the head of Bali Tourism Agency AA Gede Yuniartha Putra.

Most importantly, the festival is to celebrate art in Bali, as well as bring together art lovers from across the Indonesia and other neighboring country. This year, the Bali Arts Festival in  39th  returns June 10 to July 8, 2017
